Privacy Notices

Privacy notices help you comply with GDPR and other privacy regulations by getting explicit consent before collecting data.

Why Use Privacy Notices

  • Legal Compliance: GDPR and similar laws require informed consent
  • Transparency: Users know how their data will be used
  • Trust: Being upfront about data handling builds trust

Adding a Privacy Notice

  1. Go to your form's Settings
  2. Find the Privacy & Data Collection section
  3. Enter your privacy notice text
  4. Click Save Privacy Notice

Using Templates

We provide several template options to help you get started:

  • Basic Consent: Simple acknowledgment of data collection
  • With Privacy Policy Link: References your full privacy policy
  • Detailed GDPR: Comprehensive consent covering multiple points

Click any template button to insert it, then customize the text for your needs.

Linking to Your Privacy Policy

You can include links to your privacy policy or other pages using markdown format:

[Privacy Policy](https://yourwebsite.com/privacy)

This will render as a clickable link in your form.

How It Appears

When you add a privacy notice, users will see:

  • Your notice text in a highlighted box
  • A required checkbox with "I agree to the above terms"
  • The submit button disabled until they check the box

Best Practices

  • Keep the notice concise but complete
  • Link to your full privacy policy for detailed information
  • Mention what data you collect and why
  • Include how long you'll keep the data
  • Mention if data is shared with third parties
